The Neue Synagogue-Centrum Judaicum was destroyed in World War II, and this beautiful, grand building was Berlin's largest synagogue and was constructed in 1866. There has been some restoration work taken place, to reconstruct the large, gold-latticed dome and also the front part of the structure.
There is a permanent exhibition in the Centrum Judaicum, which features information about the history of Jews in Berlin and the actual synagogue itself.
