Berliner Dom (Deutscher Dom) is the main cathedral in the city of Berlin and visitors are able to climb to the very top of the dome, where there are breathtaking views across the city.
Similar to St. Peter's Basilica in Rome in appearance, other interesting features inside the Berliner Dom (Deutscher Dom) include huge marble pillars, a small exhibition on the history of the building, a vault containing 90 sarcophagi holding the remains of certain members of the Prussian royals, which this ornate cathedral was built for in the 19th century.
Berliner Dom's main nave was reopened in 1993, after a 20-year renovation period.
